Olives are an important product of the La Mancha region. Rocío's family grow them like many other families here as well. They belong to a collective that delivers the crops to the factories which purchase the olives and also provide the products to the participants - olive oil and wine for example.

This is "el huerto", the patch of land where the family grows vegetables and fruits for their own use. In the next post I'll show what grows there.
